Your Dreams, God’s Designs
Your dreams, God’s designs:
So you have been praying for something that you want really bad whether it be a loved one that is sick, a financial breakthrough, a job, a need, etc. You pray and you pray, but you don’t see any changes. Then that day comes where you find out your dream didn’t pan out exactly the way “you” had wanted. So you get dismayed, walk around bummed out, have a little chip on your shoulder reflecting disappointment and before you know it you are harboring bitterness and spreading it around. Your dream didn’t work out and you cannot understand why. Maybe it is not “God’s” dream. Maybe God had a different plan for your life.
For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”
The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
If we fail the test, he doesn’t get mad, walk away and forget us all together. He just waits a little bit and gives us another test. God wants us to succeed; he wants to help us fulfill the destiny HE has mapped out for our lives. He wants us to stop trying to do everything ourselves and learn to lean on someone else for once. Now I know for women this is very hard for you hard headed, perfection “trying” seeking Moms. I get it, I am one myself!! I think, “well I will just do it myself because if I let it go or trust someone else to do it, they won’t do it right or they will mess it up and I will end up having to fix it, SO I might as well just do it all myself.” GOD doesn’t want us to have that attitude, he wants us to “let it go,” and trust him completely with things that don’t seem all together, perfectly ironed out or what we want in life. He wants us to come to him with our needs, be respectful with our wants and leave it there.
LORD my God, I take refuge in you; save and deliver me from all who pursue me,
When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise— in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?
God doesn’t want us to have those sins as a part of our life, he wants us to humbly give our cares & concerns to him so that we can rest easy, to be burden free and full of the spirit. You never know who you will pass today, so be on you guard “stress free” at all times so that whoever you pass you are ready to let your God shine through your actions & words. This may be the only chance you get to reach out and touch a life with a kind gesture or word of praise. Make your moment count. Don’t let your own issues stand in between you and the destiny that God has planned for your life.
You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.
Sometimes I feel like my life is going so fast I miss a lot of things, a lot of opportunities to help someone or pray for someone. Sometimes I feel like I do too much and I miss opportunities at home, or I am too tired to do everything I need to do. During these times I stop, breathe and pray. I relinquish everything that is going on right then and I lift it all up, erase it and step back into reality. Just like a chalk board, when it becomes full you pick up the eraser, clean the board and start over. Just because you erase your board or leave it with God doesn’t mean you are disregarding its importance, you are simply saying, “I have more than I need right now, I care, but I cannot change the outcome.” God understands and is ready, willing and able to take your burdens and send you back out into the world stress free. Trust him to let your load be lightened.
Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.
Remember the old song, “This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine,” God wants us to let our light shine for his precious and holy name. He doesn’t want us to go around singing, “this little stress of mine, I’m gonna lose my mind.” So get past the initial shock of your issue and let it go with God. Don’t drag around things that weight you down, cause you to sink lower and lower into a mode of depression. It’s not worth wasting your days moping around in things that you have no control over. God has the final say in everything we say and do, you do not have the final say, he does. If you cannot control the outcome then why in the world are you carrying around all the worrisome details? Relinquish everything today that is stressing you out. Take out a pen and paper; write down 10 things right now that are bothering you. Put them in an envelope, seal it and in 10 days, open it up. I guarantee you that that ½ of the things that were bothering you have either worked themselves out or are not a numbing issue at that moment.
Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.
We put too much stress on ourselves. The hardest thing for a person that is hard headed to do is to sit back, process all the information and wait to worry. A lot of us are quick to form an opinion, quick to get upset, and quick to make hasty decisions that we often regret later. Trust in your heart, where God lives. Lean on his understanding not your own. Believe in his ways not your paths. Learn to free up your mind from clogged emotions that drain you day in and day out. Be you, the one God molded so perfectly, and carefully planted every single hair on your head, the one he loved so much to bring you into this world. Count all your blessings before you worries. Focus on the good before the bad. Think the positive thoughts before you let the fears set in. Remember to go with the God not the flow. Don’t be a crowd follower, be unique and different. If the crowd says you are headed for doom, then say, “if that is what God has planned then so be it.” Don’t rely on the “crowd” to plan your life, instead re-route your thinking and direction upward, to the one who already knows where you will be tomorrow before tomorrow even arrives.
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
In all things, great and small, God loves us all,
