"It's not luck, it's GOD"
Luck is good fortune, God is good faith, you choose, plain and simple! I choose faith any day. I don't believe in luck at all. I believe that everything was predestined and ordained by God which is fulfilled in the Bible. The bible says, "Faith, Hope & Love; but the greatest of these is love."
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love
Notice how it does NOT say, "Luck, Hope & Love." No luck about it, it's all delivered and supplied by God, our Heavenly Father. The one who directs all our paths, no matter which lane we may be traveling in at this moment in our life, he knows exactly where we are at. God knows exactly who he will send in your life to make a difference, what doors he will open how the path will lead you, which turns will knock you off course, and which tests of faith will stand you back up. Trust in God to lead your directed paths which were laid in stone before you were ever created.
"The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way."
I park beside a man named Garry Harper at my work almost daily either before lunch or after lunch. I sit in my car at lunch and read my Bible; he sits in his car as well. I wave, he waves. Good spirited man, very polite. All the time I am sitting in my car I am praying, reading and talking to God about different things that are bothering me. For a lot of the time lately I have been praying for God to open doors to a more Christian work environment, for me to not feel so alone in my walk with God at work. I prayed and prayed and didn't really think anything else about it, just left it all in God's hands. I knew in His timing doors would open. If I was at my current job then God had a plan and a purpose for me being here. No matter what I might be going through and as hard as it might be, God knew I would walk this path and he promised to walk along with me every step of the way. Long story short, we had an unfortunate day at my job where we lost a young man to sickness. I noticed that we were going to have a grief counselor in the conference room who was already an employee here. You guessed it, Mr. Garry Harper, a director in sales, was also our grief counselor. I noticed Garry had a blog and I immediately went on to read that Garry is a former QB with the SC Gamecocks, a full time Baptist Minister for 10 years, and returned back to the work force in 1999 to find a way to bring Jesus back into our daily work. I was in shock. This man that I parked beside every single day, waved to, is not only a follower of God, but a leader as well. My prayers were answered, I immediately sent Garry an email and explained my situation about my life & Robbie's health and asked him for prayer. God works in mysterious ways and all the time parked right beside me while I prayed, cried, and talked to God, there was a Godly leader sitting right beside me. So look around you to see what amazing miracles God has already delivered, but only in His timing will you see the gratification of them being there.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight
Your station in life is because of where God has placed you for a time such as this, despite the things that you may discover that are deemed trials or other tribulations. Even so, the journey has not been traversed alone. Your life trail had many occupants and with many stops along the way so have mine. We are here together at this place where fate governed our destiny. God knows the pains and the trails you will face, the expected mishaps, the let downs, the horrific emotional strain and bridges that will need to be crossed. He doesn't want you to go through difficult moments, but in those moments strength is gained, healing starts to take place and you start to step out on your own a new, clothed in Christ person. You are then ready to take on any challenge that comes your way with a new perspective because God has promised to never leave you nor forsake you.
"I will never leave you nor forsake you."
Joel Osteen tells a story of a father who was told that he had terminal cancer; they didn't give him much hope, maybe 3 months to live. He had a four year old son and one day this little boy brought his Daddy a bible. He couldn't read or know what he was doing, but he told his Daddy to read the verse right here. The dad took the bible and opened it up to John 11:4, "But when Jesus heard it he said, "This illness does not lead to death. It is for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified through it." The Dad almost fell over, and immediately started to feel what God was speaking. He started trusting in God to deliver his steps throughout life and not be depressed over his cancer. Do you know one year after receiving the news that he had cancer he is still going strong, healthy and devoted to life. The devil wanted this man defeated, to throw in the towel to bad medical news, but his GOD, had a different plan blueprinted out for his life. He rose up to the challenge and lives every single day to the fullest with God leading his life. God always has the final say in your life. If God be for you, who can be against you.
But when Jesus heard it he said, "This illness does not lead to death. It is for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified through it."
God selects angels daily he grooms them in His perfect love and sends them out to spread his word. God uses the angels in all different forms, it can be a person you need at that moment, a blessing in the form of a gift, a job, whatever you need and you receive is an angel fulfilling the message of God. Don't think of anything as pure luck. If you win the lottery, then God knew you needed that money for a purpose. If you suddenly call a friend and they tell you "you called at just the right moment" take that as God putting you in the right place at the right Godly time. If you get an unexpected break from cycle of bad news, depression, financial strain, illness, you know God is in control. If you go out today and someone touches your heart, uplifts you in some way and helps you see how to be a better person yourself, then God is driving that bus. Don't let a few mishaps, whether they are small or detrimental stand in your way of being all that God "wants" you to be. You are a miracle, molded with God's hands, unique in destiny and full of God's blessings. Shine like a star for yourself, and for others and when people ask you where you got that glow, you tell them your Heavenly Father supplied it.
For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have?
We are well equipped today with everything we need, provided by God our Father, to manage, accept and spread His word. You may not have all you "think" you need, but God supplies our every need with His loving words of wisdom. Take a moment and reflect on the things, people and circumstances that are in your life right now. Who has lifted you up, influenced you to be better, spread Gods love to you without demand, cared for you, prayed for you, and nurtured you along your Godly walk? That person or people in your life are your angels, supplied by God to take your burdens and carry them for themselves. To let you rest free from worry, fear and doubt that seem to cloud our life as soon as we open our eyes in the morning. To knock the devil 15 feet back on his back, and tie down rope to secure him down. Your God, the amazing Heavenly Father has built an army around you strong enough to withstand any storm, strong enough to conquer any mountain, strong enough to believe in you when everything in life seems to wilt. Stand up today, dust yourself off and look around at your angels. Courageously step outside your typical frame of mind, and devote yourself to a new state of mind, for life, fully clothed in the miraculous works of Gods amazing love. You matter! Your life, your difficulties, your trials, your setbacks, all of those matter to God. Your life means so much to God that he laid the foundation and tracks for you to follow and he promises to protect you along the way. God loves you just the way you are. Don't change for anyone, be who you are, be who God molded you to be. If you are changing at all, change for God to mold you into a better Christian. Ask God to train you to be a person that will make the difference in someone else's life. Be someone's angel.
An angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him.
Since I started this blog, I have had more people come up to me and say that I have touched their lives. I have also had people rebuke my writings, feeling that I am pinpointing situations on certain people. My words are sent from God, I pray daily for scripture, stories, and uplifting words of wisdom to spread to my sisters and brothers in Christ. I don't have a list of topics that I check off as to what to write about. I pray about my topic, letting God use me as a source to bring others closer to Him. When I feel a certain story touches me during the day, I jot it down. When I go through a certain obstacle or test of faith, I jot it down. At the end of the day, I collect all my thoughts and a topic suddenly comes to mind. I feel that God is grooming me to be an angel in someone else's life and I am welcome to the challenge. I boldly exclaim that I will do whatever it takes to spread good news, to repent of my sins, to not act like I am perfect and get down and pray with those that are hurting. God is happy, and the reason I can tell is because everywhere I go someone is commenting about something that I have written, what part touched them, things they are overcoming and you can see pure joy on their face as they are growing deeper in their faith.
I have seen something else under the sun: the race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all.
Everything that God allows in the life of a believer has been divinely designed. There are no mistakes in the plan that was made for you long before the foundation of the earth. Whatever is happening in your life that doesn't seem right or fair has been allowed for a distinct purpose. It is never easy to suffer through our painful trials, but it is the working of our faith that gives us endurance to stay in the race and not give up. God rescues us when we need him the most. He opens up the heavens and he releases angels, spirits to protect us and surround us. He calls among the earthly angels to boost their courage and step out to find those that need Gods love. I come to you today, not as a girl that loves to fish and build stuff with my hands, but a girl that loves God, loves to pray & write. I believe in God, and every single thing that he stands for. I believer in change, forgiveness, faith, love, devotion, sins being washed away, people making a new life, all of it I believe. I devote myself as a sister in Christ to be here to lift you up when you fall, to help you stand when you are weak and to be an accountability friend in Christ to let you know real quick when you are slipping. I have been in the right moment at the right time, I was already twice today, and believe me the rush of Gods amazing love pours over me when the hairs on my arms stand up from being touched by God. God is love, God is forever, but God is not luck, no, sorry, no place for luck here. Luck has nothing on the Faith God has. Lay down luck, pick up faith and travel a new direction today with Gods amazing Grace.
See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, I want to know you personally. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life to you and ask you to come in as my Savior and Lord. Take control of my life. Thank you for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Make me the kind of person you want me to be. Touch my life in such a way that I can become a blessing to someone else. That I may be the angel someone needs to believe in their faith and start focusing on God's love. I know that all things are possible with your amazing love God and today, I fully devote my life & my love to you. In Jesus Name, Amen.
In all things, great and small, God loves us all,
Kylie Davis
Note:
If my devotions are touching your life, will you please send me an email and tell me how they are touching your life. I get motivated through God when I am shown that people are really having things change for the better due from an inspiration about God. Everything I do is for God, so please let me know.
Also, I am gathering information for an upcoming devotion on "true life events with God," if you or someone you know has a true life uplifting Godly moment, please send it to me. It can be anonymous or you can state your name. I gain motivation by seeing others work in Gods lives; it brings realness to our lives that speak in mountains when a tragedy strikes. Please help me out with this request.
