The Weekend:

The family had a pretty uneventful weekend as Daddy worked all weekend and Mommy overdid it once again. The kids were very good and played their little hearts out. The rate they are going right now Dad and I will be replacing bike tires monthly, ha! I have been having tremendous back pain all weekend and I thought it was due to overdoing it on tasks that seem "too big" for me right now, however yesterday I didn't do those things and was hurting once again.

Saturday was great, I got up fixed some breakfast for the kids and headed off to my Moms to drop the children off to spend a little time with her while I took a less gothic look on my hair (got it highlighted). Mom informed me when I arrived that she was going to take the kids to see Mema (their great grandmother). Mema lives by herself and gets lonely, so they were hitting the road to Westminster for the day. Now I hate to sound selfish, but I was glad, I needed a break and a time to just rest. So I got them dropped off and headed to see Tammy in an effort to de-goth myself, if that is a word?? Tammy did an amazing job as always and it was great to hear how God is working in her life right now. I am very happy for Tammy & Bobby and renewing their relationship to bring their family back together. God is truly amazing.

So my hair turned out beautiful, I actually looked in the mirror and said, "Your pretty," for the first time since I tried the whole dying my hair myself task. I was blessed with getting to see my hubs as he brought me a coke as I sat under the dryer at the salon. He always comes to see me when I get my hair done, and it always makes my day! Anytime I get to see my hub is a very happy moment for me, especially when he invests 36 hours in one weekend to the station. So he made me very happy! He invited me to lunch after my hair appointment and I surely accepted because a: I love him and b: I love to eat right now. So we headed off to the hibachi restaurant in Fountain Inn, and I had my share of rice, double order, yes little miss piggy. I really enjoyed just spending quality alone time with him and it was sort of a date, loved it! He loved my hair which made me feel good. Of course he always makes me feel beautiful, he told me I should have gotten blonde and blue highlights, that man would truly love me with purple horns, I do believe.

I left my date with my hubs, made a quick trip to Wal-Mart and headed home to rest, well I tried. It didn't work out like that as I got into dishes, laundry, vacuuming, cleaning the kid's rooms, etc….. I was in pain by the time the kids and Robbie got home. I had back labor for 3 hours that night. The kids had fun, Robbie had an exhausting day at work and I was in pain.

Sunday was another work day for Robbie, so Hunter and I headed to church to meet Gammy and Bray! The church message was awesome as usual on "Being Satisfied" and it didn't really hit me until this morning when God spoke to my "selfish" heart. Stay tuned…
