Since last week:
The kids were out of school on Thursday and Friday so I stayed home with them on Thursday and played all day and Robbie stayed with them on Friday. Friday night the kiddos got to go to their Gammy's because Great Grandmother (Mema) was in town and she loves to spend time with them. So Robbie delivered them safe and sound to Gams! They had a blast roasting marshmallows, telling ghost stories, just great memories. I on the other hand got me some taco bell, went home and did a few things for the baby shower and then relaxed with my hubs once he got home from the football game that he worked for extra moo-la. We were like a married couple with no kids for one night, although I did get kicked a few times by "I wonder who" in the middle of the night.
Saturday was the BIG Shower Day! I was so excited I could hardly stand it, but a little worn out from all the running around. The shower was great; friends & family showed up and made the day a wonderful memory. Rex got a lot of cute and much needed items and we are so very thankful.
Sunday was church day and boy was it good, started a new series at church called "Living the BE life" and this week's lesson was on "Be Humble." Perry always delivers a gut wrenching and soul moving sermon! You always leave the church thinking, "God sure is amazing!"
Baby Rex is staying warm inside my tummy, coming up on 26 weeks and feeling sore and a little tired, but no pains. I am really started to waddle quite a bit and I have the hardest time getting up once I sit down, guess everything down there seems to "fall asleep." So I will just keep on trucking. The baby room is not finished, but hopefully soon it will be, my Mema swears I won't go all he way to January. Robbie would really like a tax deduction for this year, but I just want him safe & healthy! I go back to the doctor on November 8th and then every 2 weeks after that! January will be here before we know it and I will get to hold my sweet Rex Cooper Davis. Beedee B asked me if she could please please be the first one to hold him after me and Daddy had our turn! I said OF COURSE, she is the sweetest daughter! Hunter is just Hunter, happy go lucky, but a little jealous of the new baby coming, I think…..
Prayer/Praise:
- Praying for the Jackson family who lost their baby McKenzie last week, praying for strength and guidance during this difficult time.
- The Conway family for the early arrival of Nolan Conway, their baby born at 27 weeks.
- Lauren Banks, my BFF's daughter for breaking her wrist.
